Ingredients

  • 1 pound smoked brisket, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the shredded brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapeños until well combined.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface and add a generous spoonful of the filling in the center.
  3. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with beaten egg.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a small bowl, mix honey and hot sauce to create the spicy honey sauce.
  8. Serve the egg rolls hot with the spicy honey sauce for dipping.
