Ingredients
Scale
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 1 pound smoked brisket, shredded
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the shredded brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapeños until well combined.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface and add a generous spoonful of the filling in the center.
- Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with beaten egg.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix honey and hot sauce to create the spicy honey sauce.
- Serve the egg rolls hot with the spicy honey sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.
- These egg rolls can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
- Leftover filling can be used in other dishes or as a dip.
