Description

A comforting and nostalgic Tuna Noodle Casserole, filled with creamy goodness, tender egg noodles, and a crispy breadcrumb topping.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  3. Combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, peas, and cheddar cheese in a large mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and heated through.

Notes

Make-ahead by preparing the casserole a night before and refrigerating. Consider adding cooked bacon or bell peppers for variation.
