A rich and decadent Turtle Texas Sheet Cake topped with fudge, caramel, and pecans, perfect for any occasion.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large sheet pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- Once cooled, drizzle the caramel and fudge sauces over the top of the cake.
- Garnish with additional chopped pecans if desired.
- Slice and serve to enjoy!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- This cake can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
