  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x
  • Diet: Regular

Description

Irresistibly fluffy breakfast rolls filled with savory scrambled eggs, ham, and cheese, drizzled with creamy hollandaise sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 4 large eggs, scrambled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup hollandaise sauce

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the melted butter, flour, salt, and garlic powder to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a kitchen towel for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
  7. Add the scrambled eggs, diced ham, and shredded cheese as fillings.
  8. Form the rolls by tightly rolling the dough into a log and slicing into pieces.
  9. Second rise: Place the rolls in a greased dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Finish with hollandaise sauce right before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare the dough overnight and refrigerate before the second rise. Customize by adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
