- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hash browns
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is cooked through.
- Drain any excess fat.
- Combine the beef and onion with frozen hash browns, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheese in a mixing bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving and garnish with green onions if desired.
Notes
