Description

A delightful combination of fluffy biscuits, fresh strawberries, and creamy whipped cream that creates a nostalgic dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry syrup
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut in the cold, diced butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently until everything comes together without over-mixing.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, kneading it softly just until it holds together.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thick and cut into rounds.
  7. Place them on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Once baked, allow the biscuits to cool on a wire rack.
  9. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries with strawberry syrup and toss gently to coat.
  10. Slice each biscuit in half, layer with strawberries, and dollop whipped cream on top before placing the other half on top.
  11. Serve chilled, enjoying every bite.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use coconut cream instead of heavy cream or substitute sugar with maple syrup.
