- 1 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth and fluffy—about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time; then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the creamed ingredients until combined.
- Press two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry jam over the dough.
- Scatter the chopped fresh strawberries atop the jam.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the strawberries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool in the baking dish before cutting into squares.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
